Last updated: 30 March 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Co-Erasmus.
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Co-Erasmus website, platform, and related services.
By accessing or using Co-Erasmus, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Who we are

Co-Erasmus is a platform intended to help students explore potential housing-related matches, room swaps, sublets, or other accommodation coordination opportunities in connection with student mobility.

The operator of this website is:

Mootez Boughattas
Email: hello@co-erasmus.eu

If Co-Erasmus is later operated through a registered company, these Terms and Conditions will be updated accordingly.

2. What Co-Erasmus does

Co-Erasmus provides a digital platform through which users may:

  • learn about the service
  • contact us
  • submit interest forms
  • publish or request housing-related information
  • explore potential accommodation, room swap, or housing coordination opportunities

Co-Erasmus does not currently act as a landlord, property owner, estate agent, broker, insurer, guarantor, or party to any rental agreement, swap agreement, sublease, or other contract concluded between users.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise for a specific service, Co-Erasmus only provides the platform infrastructure and related support functions.

3. Eligibility

You may only use Co-Erasmus if:

  • you are at least 18 years old
  • you have legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
  • the information you provide is accurate and not misleading
  • your use of the platform complies with applicable law

By using Co-Erasmus, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

4. User accounts and submissions

If Co-Erasmus allows account creation, listing submission, form submission, or similar user participation, you are responsible for ensuring that all information you provide is accurate, complete, and up to date.

You must not:

  • impersonate another person
  • provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • submit housing offers or listings you are not authorized to publish
  • use the platform for unlawful, discriminatory, abusive, or harmful purposes
  • interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the platform

You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account or submissions, unless caused by our own fault.

5. Housing listings and user content

Users may be allowed to submit listings, descriptions, photos, approximate locations, and other housing-related content.

The user who submits such content remains solely responsible for it, including its legality, accuracy, and suitability.

In particular, by submitting a listing or accommodation-related information, you confirm that:

  • you have the legal right or authorization to publish it
  • the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • the listing does not infringe any third-party rights
  • the listing complies with applicable rental, housing, subletting, privacy, and consumer laws

Co-Erasmus does not guarantee that any listing, property, room, or user statement is accurate, complete, available, lawful, or suitable.

6. Address and location information

Where necessary for the service, Co-Erasmus may collect the exact address of an accommodation.

However, as a privacy and security measure, Co-Erasmus does not publicly display the exact private address of a listed accommodation to other users at the initial stage. Instead, only an approximate location or estimated area may be shown.

If, at a later stage, more detailed address information is shared as part of a specific service flow, this will only occur where considered necessary for the relevant process and subject to the applicable privacy and security rules.

7. No guarantee of match, swap, booking, or availability

Co-Erasmus does not guarantee:

  • that a user will find a room, tenant, or swap partner
  • that a listing will result in a successful match
  • that any accommodation will remain available
  • that users will actually conclude an agreement with one another
  • that any arrangement between users will be completed successfully or without dispute

Any agreement, decision, or transaction between users is made at their own responsibility.

8. No party to user agreements

Co-Erasmus is not a party to any agreement between users, including but not limited to:

  • tenancy agreements
  • sublease agreements
  • room swap agreements
  • accommodation coordination arrangements
  • deposit arrangements
  • private side agreements between users

Users are solely responsible for reviewing, negotiating, signing, and performing any agreement they enter into with one another.

9. Verification and moderation

Co-Erasmus may, but is not obliged to, review listings, submissions, profiles, or other content for platform integrity, trust, safety, legal compliance, or quality purposes.

We may request additional information or documentation where reasonably necessary.

We reserve the right to remove content, restrict visibility, suspend access, or refuse use of the platform where we reasonably consider that:

  • these Terms and Conditions have been breached
  • the content is unlawful, misleading, abusive, or unsafe
  • a listing or submission creates privacy, trust, or security concerns
  • moderation is necessary to protect users, third parties, or the platform

Such measures will be taken in accordance with applicable law.

10. Prohibited uses

You must not use Co-Erasmus to:

  • publish unlawful housing offers
  • discriminate unlawfully against users
  • harass, deceive, exploit, or threaten others
  • collect personal data from other users without lawful basis

By submitting content to Co-Erasmus, you grant Co-Erasmus a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, adapt, and use that content to operate, improve, promote, and provide the platform, for as long as necessary for those purposes.

You confirm that you have the rights necessary to grant this license.

14. Availability of the service

We do not guarantee that the platform will be available at all times or without interruption.

In particular, Co-Erasmus shall not be liable for:

  • disputes between users
  • the conduct of users
  • inaccurate or misleading listings or submissions
  • failed housing arrangements, failed swaps, or failed agreements
  • availability, condition, legality, or suitability of any accommodation
  • loss arising from reliance on user-provided information
  • temporary platform unavailability

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful, including liability for intent, gross negligence, or other mandatory statutory liability.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Co-Erasmus against claims by third parties arising out of your unlawful use of the platform, your breach of these Terms and Conditions, or your violation of third-party rights, to the extent you are responsible for such breach or violation.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

20. Changes to these Terms and Conditions

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect legal, technical, operational, or business changes.
