Before you commit to renting, subletting, or swapping, check whether your lease, landlord, student residence, or local housing rules allow another student to stay in your room or apartment.
Co-Erasmus helps students organize peer-to-peer housing, but it does not replace your lease, landlord approval, university housing rules, or legal advice.
Whole-place swap
A full temporary handover can be a problem. Austrian tenancy law lists full subletting as an important reason against subletting.
Room swap
Partial temporary use can be less risky than a full handover, but your lease still needs to be checked.
