Legal requirements for Erasmus housing in Czech Republic
Before you commit to renting, subletting, or swapping, check whether your lease, landlord, student residence, or local housing rules allow another student to stay in your room or apartment.
Co-Erasmus helps students organize peer-to-peer housing, but it does not replace your lease, landlord approval, university housing rules, or legal advice.
Whole-place swap
If you do not permanently live in the apartment during the swap, landlord consent is required.
Partial room / shared apartment
If you permanently live in the apartment, you may sublet part of it without landlord consent.
Why? Legal basis
Czech Civil Code §§2274–2275.
